My name is Barbara Baxter. I have a Bachelor's degree and a Master's degree in education, a reading certificate, and an Early Childhood certificate. I have been teaching Kindergarten for 26 years now. I have 3 sons ( Brett, Rob, and Andy Gage who all attended school and graduated from Weatherford High School. I also have 6 grandchildren now between the ages of 5 and 9 years old. I really enjoy them and going to their various activities. Two of them live in Arlington, Tx. two in Tulsa, and two go to Arapaho, Ok school.

I have also taught piano lessons and had a daycare in my home when my boys were very young. I have always enjoyed working with children and have taught many Sunday school classes and lots of Bible School classes. I also enjoy reading, doing geneology, keeping family scrapbooks, gardening, walking, riding bikes, playing piano, church work, sports, listening to all types of music, and just doing things with my husband and friends.

I am very proud to live and work in Weatherford, Ok. We have a wonderful community and a great school. At the present time, I can't think of anything I would rather be doing than to teach children the love of reading.
