Mrs. Schamburg grew up on a farm near the small town of Grenfield, OK. I attended all 12 grades in the Greenfield Public Schools. I was very active in sports, 4-H and many other school activities. After attending Northwestern Oklahoma State University for two years, I transferred to Southwestern where I received a B.S. in Elementary Education and a M.S. in Reading. I began my teaching career in Clinton where I taught first grade for three and a half years. I was then fortunate enough to begin teaching first grade at Burcham in the fall of 1986. My husband, Fred, and I have two sons. Logan is 19 and Grant is 11. We attend the Weatherford Church of Christ. I am active in the Education Committee at church. I enjoy attending my sons' sporting events and other activities. I love teaching first graders. They are so loving and ready to learn. I have the privilege of watching the transformation from a non-reader to independent reader. It is a true joy! |
