Weatherford Public Schools Special Education Department

Weatherford Public Schools is committed to providing comprehensive educational services to all students, including students with disabilities. All eligible children with disabilities beginning at age 3, have the right to a Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) as mandated by the provisions of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act of 1997 (IDEA) and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. A variety of services and placement settings are determined by the Individualized Education Program (IEP) team or the 504 team. We sincerely desire to challenge each student based on their individual levels of functioning and performance to be successful at school, home and in their community.
